About this book

Islamiat (Mutalia Islam), Class 5 (Jamaat Punjum) is the Class 5 Islamic studies book for Allied School, available to order now for the 2027-28 session. The cover is red and blue, with a red star at the centre carrying the Urdu title and the Albakio International logo at the top. Instead of an edition line, the bottom of this cover reads “Namudar Publication” and gives a Lahore address. Around the star are photographs of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina with its green dome, a tiled blue and gold mosque interior, glowing lanterns and a hand giving a bag of charity into an open palm, which hints at the zakat lesson.

The book is in Urdu, so the contents (Fehrist) below are given in Roman Urdu with a short English note. It has seven chapters (Baab) and about 115 pages. Class 5 is the last primary class, so the book adds more depth: the Hereafter, the finality of prophethood, zakat and Eid, the Madina period of the Seerat, and the first Sufi saints.

Full table of contents: all 7 chapters, every lesson and page

Page numbers are as printed.

Chapter 1 (Baab Awwal): Quran Majeed aur Hadith-e-Nabawi (the Quran and the Hadith)

  • 1. Nazra Quran Majeed (p. 1)
  • 2. Hifz-e-Quran Majeed (p. 2)
  • 3. Hifz o Tarjuma (memorisation and translation) (p. 5)
  • 4. Hadith-e-Nabawi (p. 8)
  • 5. Duain, zabani (p. 10)

Why it helps: The five-part Quran routine continues for the fifth year, so a Class 5 child can read fluently, has memorised a growing set of surahs and knows what they mean. This first chapter is one of the shortest in the book (11 pages), which leaves most of the year for the new topics.

Chapter 2 (Baab Doum): Imaniyat o Ibadat (faith and worship)

  • Part A: Imaniyat (faith): 1. Akhirat (the Hereafter) (p. 12)
  • Part A: 2. Khatm-e-Nubuwwat aur Itaat-e-Rasool (peace be upon him), the finality of prophethood and obedience to the Messenger (p. 17)
  • Part B: Ibadat (worship): 1. Zakat (p. 21)
  • Part B: 2. Jumma-tul-Mubarak ki Fazilat (the virtue of blessed Friday) (p. 26)
  • Part B: 3. Eidain (the two Eids) (p. 30)

Why it helps: This chapter completes the articles of faith with belief in the Hereafter and the finality of prophethood, then teaches the worship a family sees every year: zakat, the Friday prayer and the two Eids. It is easy to link to home life: Friday routines, Eid preparations and the habit of giving.

Chapter 3 (Baab Soum): Seerat-e-Tayyaba (the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him)

  • 1. Mairaj-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), the Night Journey (p. 36)
  • 2. Bait-e-Aqaba Oola wa Saniya (the first and second pledges of Aqaba) (p. 40)
  • 3. Hijrat-e-Madina (the migration to Madina) (p. 44)
  • 4. Muakhat-e-Madina (the brotherhood of Madina) (p. 49)
  • 5. Masjid-e-Nabawi (peace be upon him), the Prophet’s Mosque (p. 53)
  • 6. Mithaq-e-Madina (the Charter of Madina) (p. 57)
  • 7. Ghazwat (the battles) (p. 61)

Why it helps: The longest chapter, seven lessons, continues the Class 4 timeline from Makkah to Madina: the Night Journey, the pledges of Aqaba, the migration, the bond of brotherhood, the first mosque, the Charter of Madina and the battles. Following the story in order helps a ten-year-old remember it and gives plenty of material for a class presentation.

Chapter 4 (Baab Chaharum): Akhlaq o Adaab (character and manners)

  • 1. Rawadari (tolerance) (p. 66)
  • 2. Afw-o-Dargazar aur Rahm Dili (forgiveness and compassion) (p. 70)
  • 3. Kifayat Shiari (thrift) (p. 74)

Why it helps: Three qualities that a Class 5 child can understand and practise: tolerating differences, forgiving and being kind, and spending carefully. They follow the Seerat chapter, so each can be linked to an example from the Prophet’s life.

Chapter 5 (Baab Punjum): Husn-e-Muamalat o Muashrat (good dealings and living in society)

  • 1. Ifa-e-Ahd (keeping promises) (p. 78)
  • 2. Islami Ukhuwwat (Islamic brotherhood) (p. 83)
  • 3. Chughal Khori (backbiting) (p. 87)

Why it helps: Keeping promises, brotherhood and avoiding backbiting are the social habits where children begin to be tested with friends at school. A direct lesson on backbiting is especially welcome for this age.

Chapter 6 (Baab Shashum): Hidayat ke Sarchashme aur Mashahir-e-Islam (sources of guidance and famous figures of Islam)

  • 1. Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him) (p. 90)
  • 2. Hazrat Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) (p. 94)
  • 3. Hazrat Ali al-Murtaza (may Allah be pleased with him) (p. 99)
  • 4. Sufia-e-Kiram (may Allah have mercy on them), the Sufi saints (p. 104)

Why it helps: Two prophets, the fourth Caliph and the Sufi saints bring the series of stories to a close. The Sufi saints lesson links Islamiat to the history and culture of the subcontinent and of Pakistan itself.

Chapter 7 (Baab Haftum): Islami Taalimat aur Asr-e-Hazir ke Taqaze (Islamic teachings and the needs of the present time)

  • 1. Hadisat se bachne ki Tadabeer (precautions against accidents) (p. 108)
  • 2. Paudon aur Darakhton ki Ahmiyat (the importance of plants and trees) (p. 113)

Why it helps: Two modern, practical lessons: staying safe and caring for the environment. They connect Islamic teaching to road safety, first aid at home and tree planting, and they are good topics for a family project.
