Innovate ICT, Grade 2, is the computer studies book in the Allied Schools Class 2 list. It is published by AEP | arvo education press and carries the SRM mark on its cover. Allied Schools is a project of the Punjab Group of Colleges, and this book is what its Class 2 students use in the computer lab and at home when a teacher sets computer homework.
The cover shows a bright study room with purple walls: a girl in a blue dress and dark hijab types on a silver laptop at a low table, while a boy in glasses sits on a bed with a black laptop on his knees. The message is that computers are something a child uses to make things, not just to watch. The contents pages back that up with eight units and a glossary across roughly 120 pages.

Why the order works
The three ICT Fundamentals units come first because a Class 2 child needs the vocabulary before the skills: what a computer is, what its parts do, where files are stored. Unit 3 then introduces the internet, and Unit 4 – directly after it – makes privacy and trusted adults a topic in its own right. That placement matters; a child who has just learned to open a browser is immediately taught how to use it safely.
The middle units are hands-on. MS Paint (twenty pages) teaches a child to draw, type text into a picture, and save and name a file. Microsoft Word follows with the basics of a document. ScratchJr – the block-based coding tool for young children – takes the longest unit in the book, twenty-one pages, and lets them make a character move and dance using loops and conditions. Unit 8 finishes by tying everything together in a small project: work out what a friend needs, make a birthday card, and treat it as a tiny business.
Who it is for
This book is for Class 2 students at Allied Schools and for parents who want to follow what their child is doing on the computer. Some of the units assume access to MS Paint, Word and the ScratchJr app at school, so check with the class teacher what your child will use at home.
