Science Nature Lab, Book 2, is the Class 2 science textbook in the Allied Schools list (Allied Schools is a project of the Punjab Group of Colleges). It comes from AEP | arvo education press and, according to its cover, is based on the Single National Curriculum 2020. Children in Class 2 use it through the school year, so it is one of the books a parent needs before lessons start.
You will recognise it on the shelf from its cover: a close-up photograph of a yellow, black and white striped monarch caterpillar crawling along the edge of a green leaf, with the title Science Nature Lab on a dark green banner and Arvo the robot mascot peeking over the top holding an open book. That photograph sets the tone for the book. It starts with living things a child can actually go and look at, and works outward to the planet and the sky.

How the book moves through the year
The order of the chapters is easy to follow. The first four cover life science: the human body, then animals, then how animals raise their young, then plants. Chapter 5 shifts to materials, the stuff that everyday objects are made from. Chapters 6 and 7 move into physical science, first pushes and pulls and then heat and light. The last three chapters step back to look at Earth and its natural resources, rocks and water, and finally the sky and the sun. By the end, a child has gone from looking at themselves to looking up at the sky.
Chapters are of different lengths – Chapter 2 runs seventeen pages (11 to 27) while Chapter 6 is eleven (71 to 81) – so teachers and parents can plan a week or two per chapter and keep a steady pace, and the numbered chapters make it simple to say exactly where a child is up to when helping with homework.
Who should buy it
This is a textbook for Class 2 students at Allied Schools, and for parents and tutors who help them at home. It is the science book itself, not a workbook or practice notebook, so if your child’s school also asks for a separate science activity book, check the school list before ordering.
We keep the genuine AEP edition in stock. You can order online with Cash on Delivery across Pakistan, or come to our Lahore shop. If you are collecting the whole Class 2 list, send us the school’s book list on WhatsApp and we will put the set together.
