About this book

Urdu Khush Nuisi, Jamaat Doum is the Class 2 Urdu handwriting (khush khati) practice book on the Allied School list for the 2027-28 session. The green and white cover shows the title in flowing calligraphy and a girl and a boy at a wooden desk writing.

The book was prepared by Allied Schools themselves, which tells you something: the school considers neat Urdu writing important enough to design its own book for it, rather than leave it to chance.

The foreword (Pesh Lafz), the page we photographed

The book’s foreword explains why it exists, in four ideas:

  • Education and training need more than teaching the syllabus: children also need skills and attitudes that develop creativity in their personality.
  • Khush khati (good handwriting) is an art like the other fine arts, and needs skill to be learned. Training in it brings out an artistic side in a child.
  • To write well, a child must give letters their proper shapes, with attention to circles and angles, and to the position and cutting of each letter when words are formed. The spaces between words and the straightness of the line also matter.
  • Because of this need, Allied Schools prepared a khush khati book so that students become familiar with the art of beautiful handwriting.

The foreword credits the compiler as Nazia Manzoor, a subject expert (MA Urdu, MPhil Education).

About the practice pages

Our photograph shows the cover and foreword, not the practice pages, so we are not listing exercises we have not seen. If you need the page count or letter order before you order, message us on WhatsApp and we will check our copy and reply.

Why Urdu handwriting needs its own book

Urdu letters change shape depending on where they sit in a word, so a child needs structured practice, not just copying. A dedicated khush khati book teaches strokes, shapes, spacing and the baseline in a deliberate order. Neat handwriting also helps every other subject: teachers can read the child’s answers, and the child tires less.

Tips for neat Urdu handwriting

Sit upright with the copy straight in front of you, hold the pencil or pen lightly, and start each letter at the correct point on the right. Keep the writing on the line, leave a small, equal gap between words, and slow down at joins. Check one page at the end of each session and circle the best word, so the child sees what good looks like.
