Urdu Kay Rang – Arvo Kay Sang is the Class 2 (Jamaat Dovvum) Urdu textbook of the Allied Schools list, published by AEP | arvo education press for the Single National Curriculum 2020. The name means roughly “the colours of Urdu, with Arvo” – Arvo being the friendly robot mascot who appears across the publisher’s Class 2 series and, on this cover, sits inside the curve of the title lettering.
The cover shows a yellow school building with a red roof and a round panel marked with the word for school, with domes and minarets in the distance. In the foreground three children sit on the lawn reading: a boy in school uniform, a girl in a white shalwar kameez and hijab, and a boy with glasses. It is a book about reading, and about Pakistan, and the contents page shows both themes clearly.
Contents: eleven lessons and two reviews
Lesson titles are listed below in Roman Urdu with a short English note so that parents who do not read Nastaliq fluently can still see what their child will study.

What kind of book it is
The lesson list mixes forms deliberately. Four items are poems (a hamd, a naat, Meethay Bol and Raat Aayi aur Jaagay Taaray), two are marked for reading practice (Cheentiyon se Seekho and Nathia Gali ki Sair), and the rest are prose lessons on faith, national heroes and everyday subjects. A Class 2 child therefore practises reciting, reading aloud, and reading for meaning, all in the same book.
The two review sections, Jaiza 1 after the first five lessons and Jaiza 2 after the next five, break the year into manageable halves and give parents a natural point to check how their child is doing before term tests.
